Proud of its long history and tradition, the Department of Food & Nutrition trains food experts who will take the lead in the 21st century of ‘well‐being’ by maintaining and managing the national health, based on field‐centered expertise and practical service in the area of food nutrition.
In association with global education agencies and business entities, the department trains creative, global beauty experts who will take the lead in the area of beauty by conducting field‐centered classes.
Equipped with the best education environment and facilities, including five‐star hotel class cooking machines, this department trains professional human resources in the area of hotel catering service based on food theories and through field‐centered programs.
The Department of Physical Therapy has trained a number of capable physical therapists, one of whom passed the national examination in 2013 with the highest score. All KIT‐trained physical therapists passed the examination in that year. The intensive course for a bachelor's degree in the department opened for the first time in Busan, and now practical classes are available to train professional physical therapists.
Based on the systematic and practical education programs at more than 100 industrial‐academic cooperative hospitals, professional dental hygienists are trained for areas of dental medical management, oral health, etc. The department offers the only intensive course in Busan through which students can also earn a bachelor's degree.
The Department of Health Service Administration is an education agency equipped with the best hospital information system at the Centum Industrial‐Academic Cooperation Campus. It has trained those who passed the national examination for medical record technicians with the highest score for two consecutive years. With the field‐centered systematic education, the department has trained outstanding professional leaders in the industry of health and medical treatment.
For functionally disabled patients with physical or mental diseases affecting optimal health conditions and independent ifestyles, the Department of Occupational Therapy trains occupational therapists with humanism and ethics. A wide range of practical learning opportunities are given in the industrial-academic cooperative association, with university hospitals in Busan, Gyeongsangnamdo and Ulsan.
In line with the needs in this globalized society, systematic nursing education programs for practical skills are developed and provided in cutting‐edge education environmens to train capable human resources in the area of health and medical treatment. Based in the spirit of Christianity, students are trained to become talented personnel with expertise.
