Having the longest history and tradition among junior colleges in the Busan-Kyungnam region, Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (KIT) was founded in 1965 with 19 students, After 53 years, KIT is ranked at the top in various areas among the 138 junior colleges in Korea.

KIT has achieved excellence in education by its programs being selected in various national educational projects to secure government funds and investing them into student education,
KIT has maintained a 100% enrollment rate of new students for 14 consecutive years, proving it is the college preferred the most by high school students in the Busan-Kyungnam region.
Dreaming of establishing the mecca of vocational education in East Asia, KIT has developed an educational curriculum adhering to global standards and fosters a work force with a global awareness through various globalization programs in cooperation with foreign institutions, including exchange teaching, overseas language training, technological and academic exchanges, and joint job placement activities.
KIT makes every effort to provide students with pleasant educational environment by constructing the best campus in Korea. Believing that a good environment and facilities produce good students, KIT has built an advanced educational infrastructure and offers specialized education.
KIT educates students to be the light and salt of their community and to help their neighbors in difficulty. In November 2006, KIT declared to support regional community by establishing KIT Service Center for Regional Community.
For the past 53 years KIT has run two- and three-year programs. In 2014, a four-year program was introduced with the establishment of the Department of Nursing. KIT has already conferred bachelor's degrees to the students in the In-depth Education Program which provides third- and fourth-year curriculum for junior college graduates.
